Instead of Hipster Joe's arps and monosynth basses which I'm sure we're all pretty much fed up with, here we have some truly unique & inspiring analog sounding textures and ambiences. Again, it's not the tools but how you use them that makes the difference. Highly recommended!

An example of those records that one discovers in a particular place and forever stick to that memories. Driving around Senja and the Tromsø fjords with this in the background was probably one of the best experiences I've had in winter time Northern Norway.

If you're looking for a friendly way into the Opal Tapes catalogue I'm afraid there isn't one. However, this is a great (and very decently priced) introduction to the distinct sound this label has made its own with some fantastic slices of techno. Boma Ye
